As we have mentioned before there are a couple of ways that we can go about this. At times people will try and get through a roofing installation project on their own and call us in the middle of it. If you have already gone out and bought tiles, shingles, aluminum or whatever it may be we are not going to ask you to throw that away. What we usually try to do in those cases is incorporate what you bought into our installation process. Now, if we get a chance to start from scratch there are a couple of things that we need to make sure you are aware of. First off all installation is not just gluing tiles together.
Planning The Installation
Usually, when we are talking about an installation it is going to be something that is going to be fully premediated. It is not like you can give us a call and let us know that you have bought a large number of tiles and you need our help. We have to make sure that whatever we are going to be using is going to hold up. We want to make sure that we are not putting a tremendous amount of weight on the structure. In short, there is a checklist that we go through to make sure that we are going to be able to provide good results.
What We Need From Your Part
This really depends on the type of home or building that you want us to work on. Usually what happens is that we get calls from people that want us to install or replace roofs in preexisting buildings. What we really need is a chance to come in and figure out how much material we are going to need and what we are going to need to do in order to install the new roofing. A lot of times this is going to involve removing old roofing that is already there.
How Long Will It Be Until My Roof Is Installed?
This is one of the main questions that we get asked. It is really going to depend on the size of the job. At times we are going to actually go in and remove a lot of the existing roofing. If that is the case we are going to make sure we can take care of that quickly. The time frame can go from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Usually never more than that.
We probably don’t talk about this enough on the site. Gutters are a major part of your roof. We are going to make sure that if we install around an existing gutter system we can do so effectively. For the most part, though, we think that the tiles and the gutters should go hand and hand. We take them just as seriously as we would any other part of the roof that we could be working on. When we are done we want to know that you are not going to have a moisture issue at all.
